The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy studied 'Construction and Operation of the Electric Power Statistics Database Structure on restructuring of the Electric Energy Market' for the effective operation of Electric Power Statistics and accordingly developed the Electric Power Statistics Information System (EPSIS : Electric Power Statistics Information System)
MOTIE appointed KPX as the organization for operation of the Electric Power Statistics Information System. And KPX undertook the system and update the database through the internal field trial.
The Data of the Electric Power Statistics to be supplied is composed of about 700 items in 7 different categories. The EPSIS have the data since 1961. The statistic database is constructed based on the Korean Electric Power Statistics(provided by KEPCO) and the Electric Power Market Operation Statistics(provided by KPX).
